Sea Shepherd Needs Your Vessel

Donate Your Ship, Yacht, Boat or Nautical gear to Sea Shepherd

Sea Shepherd Conservation Society is looking for donations of ships, yachts, small boats, and equipment. We are also looking for donations of outboard engines, Sea-Doos, Zodiacs, diving gear, safety gear, navigational equipment, tools, and marine clothing. These donations will be used in the service of protecting National Park Marine Reserves around the world.

In return, you can declare the value of the donations on your tax returns,* and you will have the satisfaction of knowing that your donation is being used to help protect our oceans and the creatures that live in them.

How the Vessel Donations Work

You donate the item to Sea Shepherd; we provide you with an acknowledgement of donation for your taxes (in the U.S. your donation is tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law).

We will make your vessel an ocean guardian, enlisting it as a Marine Reserve Defender. We will send you a handsome “Marine Reserve Defender” certificate as a keepsake.

We will refit the vessel and deliver it to the appropriate National Park Marine Reserve. Vessels will be deployed to the Galapagos Islands, Cocos Island National Park (off Ecuador), Malpelo Island National Park (off Colombia), Brazil, Senegal, South Africa, and Antarctica.

We will oversee the operations of your donated vessel by rangers of national parks throughout the world’s oceans.

In some cases you may be able to sail or cruise on the vessel as guests of the program.
